Please bring swimwear, towels and any personal items you need for your visit. Sunscreen is recommended on sunny days, It is also a good idea to bring water, a hat and warm clothing for after swimming in cooler weather.

Yes. Visitors are welcome to bring picnic food. For safety reasons, glass is not permitted in the complex. Alcohol is not permitted.

You are welcome to bring small sunshade items where space and safety allow. Larger gazebos, marquees or reserved areas should be discussed with the venue in advance. Marquee hire is available subject to availability.

Yes. Kaipātiki Kai offers food, snacks, drinks, ice creams and treats on site. Menu items and operating hours may vary by season and demand.

Yes. Kaipātiki Hot Springs is a smoke-free and vape-free venue.

Yes. You may leave and re-enter the facility on the same day, provided you receive a stamp from our team before exiting.

Yes. Lockers are available for hire. Please see the Prices page for current locker pricing.

Yes. The pools are heated using natural geothermal water drawn from beneath Parakai. Pool water is treated, tested and monitored for customer safety.

Our pool temperatures are monitored daily, however may fluctuate slightly due to weather. UPDATE THIS SECTION

Yes. Chlorine is used at safe operating levels to help keep the pools clean and safe.

Yes. Please shower before entering the pools to help keep the water clean for everyone.

No, only one person per visit pass.

Please wear clean, suitable swimwear. Clean rash shirts or T-shirts may be worn over swimwear. Shorts should be suitable for swimming and above the knee for safety. Please be aware that treated pool water may fade some fabrics.

Yes. Children must be actively supervised at all times. Children under 8 must remain within arm’s reach of a supervising adult in the water. Children under 12 must have an adult supervisor within the complex.

Children who are not toilet trained must wear an appropriate swim nappy. Under-2 entry includes a nappy charge.

To use the slides independently, children must be at least 8 years old. Younger or shorter children may only use the slides with an appropriate supervising adult, subject to venue rules and slide operating conditions.

Slide operating times vary by day, season, weather and operational conditions. Please check current venue updates before visiting if slides are a key part of your visit.

During busy weekends, public holidays and school holidays, the venue may reach capacity. Capacity limits are in place for customer safety. If the venue is full, new arrivals may need to wait until other customers leave.

Kaipātiki Ora is a new geothermal wellness experience at Kaipātiki Hot Springs. It includes cedar geothermal pools, steam saunas, ice plunge baths, private dry changing facilities, showers and relaxation spaces.

Kaipātiki Ora is planned as a 1-hour wellness session.

Kaipātiki Ora is a separate wellness session. Guests are able to add full-day pool and slide access after their Ora session for $30 per person.

Private spa add-ons are not included in the launch setup at this stage. This may be reviewed later once the booking pathway and operating model are confirmed.

Heat and cold-water experiences may not be suitable for everyone. Customers who are pregnant, have heart conditions, blood pressure concerns, respiratory conditions, dizziness or fainting risk, recent surgery, or any medical concerns should seek medical advice before booking. Customers should stay hydrated and exit any experience immediately if they feel unwell.

No. Alcohol is not permitted at Kaipātiki Hot Springs. Guests should not use hot pools, steam saunas or cold-water immersion while affected by alcohol or drugs.

General admission may be available at reception, subject to opening hours and capacity. Kaipātiki Ora, private spas, groups and hire items should be booked or enquired about in advance where possible.

Yes. Group bookings are available for schools, clubs, community groups, workplaces and larger whānau groups. Please contact the venue in advance.

Groups must provide appropriate supervision for children and young people. A minimum of 2 supervisors per 10 children is recommended for organised groups. Schools and groups remain responsible for supervising their participants.

Please contact the team before visiting if you have accessibility requirements. We can help you understand current access, parking, changing areas and the best options for your visit.

Cancellation, refund and rescheduling terms may vary by product and booking type. Final online booking terms will be shown during the booking process and in the customer confirmation email.

UPDATE Yes, members can place their Swim Tangaroa membership on hold for up to 6 weeks per year for a fee of $5 per week. This can be self-managed via our Active World app, please see more information and directions on our Manage My Membership page.
